Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Haulkind's website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.

Description of Services

Haulkind is a platform that connects customers who need junk removal or moving assistance with independent drivers who provide these services. Haulkind acts as an intermediary and does not directly provide junk removal or moving services.

User Accounts

To book services, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Providing accurate and current information
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Booking and Payment

Pricing

All prices are displayed upfront before booking. Prices include:

  • Service fee (based on volume for junk removal or hourly rate for labor)
  • Up to $50 in disposal fees (excess disposal fees are charged separately)
  • Any selected add-ons

Payment

Payment is required at the time of booking. We accept major credit cards. Payment is processed securely through our payment processor.

Volume Adjustments

If the actual volume of items differs significantly from your booking, the driver may request a volume adjustment. You will be charged or refunded the difference based on our standard pricing. You may decline the adjustment, in which case the driver will only remove items up to the booked volume.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • More than 24 hours before service: Full refund
  • Within 24 hours of service: 50% refund
  • No-show (you are not present): No refund
  • Driver no-show or cancellation: Full refund

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days.

User Responsibilities

As a customer, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about items and service location
  • Be present (or have an authorized representative present) during service
  • Ensure items are accessible and safe to remove
  • Not request removal of hazardous materials, illegal items, or items prohibited by law
  • Treat drivers with respect and professionalism
  • Provide a safe working environment

Driver Responsibilities

Drivers on the Haulkind platform are independent contractors, not employees. Drivers agree to:

  • Provide services professionally and safely
  • Maintain required licenses, insurance, and vehicle standards
  • Arrive within the scheduled time window
  • Handle customer property with care
  • Dispose of items properly and legally
  • Provide receipts for disposal fees exceeding $50

Prohibited Items

The following items cannot be hauled:

  • Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, asbestos, gasoline, propane)
  • Medical waste (needles, biohazards)
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives
  • Illegal substances or stolen property
  • Items requiring special permits or disposal procedures

Liability and Disclaimers

Service Disclaimer

Haulkind is a platform connecting customers and drivers. We do not employ drivers or directly provide junk removal services. Drivers are independent contractors responsible for their own actions.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Haulkind is not liable for:

  • Damage to property caused by drivers
  • Injuries occurring during service
  • Loss or theft of items
  • Delays or cancellations by drivers
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question.

Insurance

All drivers are required to maintain appropriate insurance. However, Haulkind does not guarantee coverage for all situations. You may wish to maintain your own insurance for valuable items.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about a service, contact us at support@haulkind.com within 48 hours. We will work with you and the driver to resolve the issue.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Haulkind website and app, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Haulkind and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without permission.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
